It tells about the overall context of its opening, the building process, the expansion of its collections and its cultural impact. It includes five parts: “The historical Character,” “National Treasures,” “Lost time,” "Collections Pulse” and "Ancient and Modern Sparkle." All episodes have been broadcast on CCTV at the beginning of November 2012 (evening broadcast).
