This documentary film was especially produced for the Shanghai museum’s Gallery of Chinese Ancient Jade. It tells the story of the king of jades: the stone from Hetian (Xinjiang province), its geological evolution as well as the methods to extract and process it. Following the various objects on display in the room gives a chance to visitors to deepen their knowledge about the subtle Chinese jade culture.
